Spam Calls

On February 13th our company received two complaint e-mails from people who are receiving spam debt collection calls. During the call the caller states they are from TRANSCON Data. We do not do outbound calling, nor do we perform debt collection. We are a technology engineering firm, and are quite busy just doing that work.

Since the complaints were received as email we investigated the claims by calling the person and asking about the issue. We were supplied (213)710-8149 in the complaint email.
(213) 710-8149 is not a number associated with www.transcondata.com or Translational Consolidated Data Corporation.

The customer service person refused to give me any information other than a 800 number to call.

The number is 1-800-461-6675, this appears to be the removal number for the company doing the spamming.
We are still working on getting them to stop using any name close to our company name.
